You Ask and You Answer
Use pregunta for polite “you ask” and responde for polite “you answer.” Combine these forms with familiar questions, documents, information, and verbs from Modules 1–18.
You ask: pregunta
Use pregunta when politely saying that one person asks. Use preguntar after familiar helper forms.

Ask and answer as a natural pair
Pregunta starts the exchange
Use pregunta to say that one person asks. Use preguntar por when asking for or about something.
Responde completes it
Use responde for the reply. After quiere, puede, or necesita, use the infinitive responder.
Combine both new actions
Interpret: You ask for the information and answer the question.
