Use espera for polite “you wait” and empieza for polite “you begin.” Combine these forms with familiar words and helper verbs from earlier modules.
Use espera when politely saying that one person waits. Use esperar after familiar helper forms.
Spanish often leaves out usted. Here, espera by itself can mean polite you wait.
Use empieza when politely saying that one person begins. Use empezar after familiar helper forms.
Use empieza con when the idea is beginning with something.
