Leaving Out Repeated Words in Conversation
Spanish often leaves out what the conversation already makes clear.Example with previously known language:Trabajo aquí.— I work here. The subject does not need to be repeated when context identifies it.
In conversation, Spanish can leave out words that are already clear. Leave them out only when the listener can still understand what you mean.

Hear Natural Connected Speech
The words and grammar stay the same.Natural speech may change timing and segment clarity. Practice familiar language at a more natural listening rate instead of requiring one-word-at-a-time delivery.
Connected speech is listening skill, not a reason to guess new vocabulary or new grammar.

Ask for Repetition

Choose repetition when the words themselves were missed.Do not use a meaning question when the real problem is simply that you did not hear the words.

Use it promptly when understanding has broken down, then select the next way to get help that solves the problem.

Ask What It Means

Use this when the words were heard but a word or expression is unknown. The lesson teaches you to manage a vocabulary gap without abandoning Spanish.
Lesson 7 · O11
Confirm Understanding
¿Correcto?Correct? / Is that correct? — use this to verify a detail you think you understood.
¿Así?Like this? / This way? — use this to verify the way or form.
Entonces…Then / so — already learned result/sequence language, reused for confirmation/continuation.
Confirmation is different from full repetition. Use it when you understood most of the message and only need to verify a key detail or the way/form.

Rephrase an Idea

Rephrasing changes the wording while preserving the intended meaning.o sea… is not promoted to required practice here.
