Near Future: Singular
Lesson 1 · ir + a + infinitive
Spanish uses a very useful planning pattern: a form ofir+a+ a known infinitive.

¿Vas a trabajar?— Are you going to work? — informal singular
¿Va a estudiar?— Are you going to study? — formal singular / context-dependent third person
¿Van a comer?— Are you all/they going to eat?
The pattern does not change just because it becomes a yes/no question. Spanish question punctuation and intonation mark the question; the form ofirstill identifies the person.
