Meaning first

Module 73 adds no new Spanish. The challenge is to choose from patterns you already know quickly enough to initiate, respond, connect ideas, and stay in the conversation.

What you are learning

A real conversation does not follow a single memorized script. You may agree, disagree, explain, recommend, show uncertainty, ask for repetition, request slower speech, confirm, or rephrase deto finish on what just happened.

fix is a strategy

Different breakdowns require different repairs. Missing the whole utterance, hearing speech too quickly, missing one word, partially understanding, and being misunderstood are not the same problem.

Lesson 1 — Sustain a Multi-Turn Conversation

I can maintain a multi-turn everyday conversation using connected sentences instead of isolated memorized phrases.

Creo que es posible.

I think it is possible.

Estoy de acuerdo porque es importante.

I agree because it is important.

No estoy de acuerdo. Sin embargo, es posible.

I disagree. However, it is possible.

Tal vez es posible.

Maybe it is possible.

Use it in a new situation:listen to what the other speaker has done, decide what your next meaning you want to express is, and select known language to perform that job. The goal is continuity, not a perfect prewritten script.

Lesson 2 — fix and Continue

I can fix misunderstandings and keep the conversation going instead of abandoning it.

¿Puede repetir?

Can you repeat?

¿Puede hablar más despacio?

Can you speak more slowly?

No entiendo. ¿Qué significa posible?

I do not understand. What does possible mean?

Quiero decir… es importante.

I mean… it is important.

Choose the fix from the breakdown:repetition for a missed utterance; slower speech for pace; a meaning question for one missing item; confirmation for partial understanding; rephrasing when your own wording did not work.
