Even so introduce un resultado que contrasta con lo anterior: The discussion was difficult. Even so, we reached an agreement.

Discuss, agree and connected ideas

Discuss normally takes a topic directly: discuss the plan, not discuss about the plan. Use agree on for a shared decision and agree with for a person or opinion. In fact strengthens an idea; even so introduces contrast.
